Dr. Artur Gruszczak

Expert on EU's home and justice affairs.

Assistant Professor at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Main interests and research areas: security governance; internal security of the EU; cross-border police cooperation between EU Member States. Former Visiting Fellow in Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen in Vienna (1994), Visiting Scholar in Complutense University of Madrid (1998), Skalny Visiting Professor in University of Rochester (2002). Recent publications include: The European Union facing Crime, Krakow 2002; European Arrest Warrant - Achievements and Dilemmas (editor), Warsaw 2006; "Poland: A Reluctant Member", in: The European Union and the member states: influences, trends, and prospects, Boulder, CO. 2006.
