Expert on EU legal system and private law. Doctor of Laws, LL.M. (Brugge), assistant professor at the University of Silesia in Katowice, advocate, author of numerous books and other publications on European Community Law and Private International Law. Dr Szpunar advises Polish governmental institutions on various aspect of Community Law and represents Polish Government before the Court of Justice of the European Communities. Dr Szpunar is a member of the board of the Polish Association for European Law (FIDE) and a member of the Acquis Group.
